I’m not a financial guru, nor am I rich. I’ve made some slight improvements to my credit in the past few years. I’ve made about every financial mistake out there, destroyed my credit, and accumulated a lot of debt. I am still recovering from those mistakes, but I have found ways to earn extra cash and make that recovery a little easier. These will not make you rich, but they will give you a little extra money to put gas in your car or buy a coffee. I’ve done these things in addition to having a full-time job, and you can too!

  1. Prolific

Prolific is a site where you can sign-up to participate in paid research studies. Many of the site offerings come in the form of surveys, but some require you to play games or do other tasks. These research studies often come from well-known universities. All you have to do to participate is sign-up, answer some questions about yourself, and have a working PayPal account. After your first three cashouts, you can cash out directly to PayPal after accumulating five dollars. Before then, your cashouts are done on Tuesdays and Fridays. Prolific pays out in GBP or pounds; however, PayPal has never charged me a conversion fee. Prolific has been something I do in my free time, maybe 1–2 hours a week, and it has…
